Joan-Francesc Pont
Lawyer - Professor of Financial and Tax Law - Of Counsel

  • How would you define yourself in your work?

I like to receive my clients and listen to their concerns and worries, and then I do my best to solve their problems.

  • What do you like most about your job?

The search for light in the darkness, the opening of new paths, reaching pacts and resolving conflicts.

  • What do you like most about your area/subject?

At this point in my life, I have a general view of the law, and, perhaps because of this, I enjoy analyzing many tax issues in the light of civil law.

  • What do you think customers value most about you?

The serenity inherited from my father and consolidated by study, teaching, research and personal contact.

  • What are your hobbies during the week and during the weekend?

Between work, attending to my students, socializing, City institutions such as the Fomento del Trabajo or the Cambra, and some philanthropic activities, I have little time left. For the weekends: I like to stroll around Paris, wander around Portobello in London and observe the changing polychrome of the Empordà.
